CHOKE MANIFOLD

The choke manifold forms a complete set with a hydraulic blowout preventer and is an essential equipment for successfully controlling well kick and providing control of the pressure of the oil (gas) well (Sour Services). During drilling operation, once drilling fluids in the well bore are contaminated by formation fluids, the balance between drilling fluid column pressure and formation pressure will be destroyed so as to result in overflow and well kick. In order to reestablish this balance relationship, it is necessary to circulate out contaminated drilling fluids or to perform kill operation by pumping in the heavy mud whose property has been adjusted.
